Do I need to know how to paint in order to join in the fun?

Not at all! Our paint and sip sessions require no prior painting experience. We guide you step by step through the painting. So just bring your friend come with a friend ready to have fun. At the end, you will take home your work of art to remind you of the experience.

How do I register for one of the events?

It's really simple. Click on our event calendar, choose a date, view our paintings then click to 'book now'. You will be taken though our secure checkout process. Registration for calendar events is open in advance of the event date. Registration closes at 6:00 pm on the day of the event. Get started now!

Do I have to pay online?

No. Please visit our Sandyport office to make payment once you have made your reservation to attend one of the scheduled in-studio paint parties.

For private events, you may be invoiced separately. Deposits and payments can be made via cheque to "Big Picture Ltd." and/or wire transfer in addition to via credit or debit card. If you have any questions, give us a call and we'll help you with your reservation.

Please note that you are able to make reservations online without payment, but your space will not be confirmed until payment is made either via credit card or by cash payment in-store.

Is my payment refundable?

Individuals: The option to cancel a booking ends 48 hours before an event. Any attempts to cancel less than 48 hours before your scheduled event will not be honored. Please allow up to 5 business days for the funds to be returned to your account.

Private Parties: If 5 days before your event you provide written notice of your inability to attend your booked paint party, we can reschedule your group event for a future date (limit- one rescheduled date). If such notice is not received by Big Picture, we will not be able to facilitate rescheduling your event to any future date. Should a refund be requested 5 days prior to your booked event, it will be processed with a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the booking processed without regard to catering or other third party costs which are due upfront in full. Should a refund be requested less than 5 days before the booked event, it will not be honored. For catered events (where arrangements are made by Big Picture), a minimum of 5 days notice of cancellation is required to avoid a cancellation fee. Should such notice not be provided, the Client is obligated to pay the catering fee in full in addition to the deposit being forfeited. No event will be rescheduled to any day in excess of 30 days from the initially reserved date.

How long does each paint session last?

Our paint sessions typically last about 2, depending on the painting. During this time, guests are encouraged to mingle with your friends, meet a new friend while painting and sipping. We also incorporate short breaks into the paint session to allow you to mingle and refill those wine glasses.

What does my reservation include?

Each reservation includes one seat and one canvas for one guest. Use of paint materials and supplies and equipment is granted to the reserved guest. Each guest is able to take home his/her finished work of art. All other items remain the property of Big Picture. For in-studio events, wine is provided complimentary to the painting experience for adult events while a complimentary soft drink is provided for kids at events designated for kids. At offsite events wine and beverages are not included in the standard reservation price.

Can I bring my own alcoholic beverages with me?

We provide select wine(s) complimentary for the duration of the painting experience. Should your preferred beverage not be on the complimentary list for the night, it may be available for purchase. 

Are kids welcomed to attend the night events at the studio?

Guests 18 and older are allowed to take part in the evening paint events. This is because wine will be served. However, if you make a private reservation for any night, then we certainly make accommodations for a group of minors. Additionally, our ‘Little Picture’ program is designed to accommodate school aged kids with daytime sessions each Saturday.

Do you host private events?

Yes we do! You can reserve a private event with us to celebrate events such as bachelorette parties, birthdays, anniversaries or for corporate and group team building activities and social hours. This can happen either at our studio or offsite at a venue of your choice.

Our private party minimum guests counts are as follows:

-Sunday- 12 people
-Monday- 10 people
-Tuesday- 10 people
-Wednesday-12 people
-Thursday- 16 people
-Friday- 20 people
-Saturday- 20 people

These minimum amounts may change without notice based on demand.

We require a 50% deposit to be made at least two weeks before the date of your event, with the remainder due two days before the event. Give us a call or submit and online inquiry to us and we can help you plan your painting party.

Can our private event be catered?

Certainly! While we do provide complimentary light hors d'eouvres, we understand that you may wish to have a catered event. Please give us a call to discuss the plans for your private event. We would be happy to assist in making your private paint party a success.

What is your studio's maximum capacity?

Our studio regularly accommodates 24 painters for its daily paint parties. Our in-studio capacity is approximately 40 individuals depending on the painting party you select. Please contact us so that we can customize a private event for you!

What is your offsite event capacity?

We've comfortably painted with over 60 painters all at once. We're sure that we can accomodate your request, however large it may be. Just contact us so that we can customize the perfect paint party for your needs!
